The Sports Club Co. Has Drop in Revenues


LOS ANGELES -- The Sports Club Co. Inc., Los Angeles, had a decrease in revenues for the second quarter ended June 30, 2009, as well as for the first six months of this year, according to financial results the company released this week.

The Sports Club Co. had second quarter revenues of $14 million compared to $16.4 million for the second quarter of 2008, a decrease of 14 percent. The company also had revenues of $28.1 million for the first six months ended June 30, 2009, compared to $32.4 million for the same period in 2008, a decrease of 13.1 percent.

The Sports Club Co. owns and operates luxury health clubs under the name The Sports Club/LA and is traded on the Pink Sheets.
