SoulCycle, New York City, will open its first club in Pennsylvania on May 27. The studio in Ardmore, located about 10 miles west of downtown Philadelphia, will feature 58 bikes and complimentary parking, according to a Philly Voice report. The new opening follows recent SoulCycle expansion into Texas.

Life Time Fitness, Chanhassen, Minnesota, opened its third club in Canada with a grand opening event at Life Time Athletic Vaughan on May 19. The 200,000 square-foot center is located approximately 25 miles north of Toronto. Life Time Fitness' other Canadian locations are in Ajax and Mississauga in Ontario.

Planet Fitness, Newington, New Hampshire, and Club Fitness, St. Louis, have gained approval to open gyms one mile apart on the same road in the southwest St. Louis suburb of Crestwood, according to a St. Louis Business Journal report. The Crestwood Planning and Zoning Review Commission approved the 44,691-square-foot Planet Fitness gym and the Club Fitness club. In February, Planet Fitness Midwest announced plans for a $100 million expansion in the St. Louis area.

Anytime Fitness Texas franchisees and U.S. Army combat veterans Michael Moyer and Dearonne Bethea plan to build a gym in Richardson, Texas. The 5,000-square-foot club is expected to open July 15, according to a media release from Anytime Fitness – Texas.

ClubCorp, Dallas, has finished a $3 million renovation of The Pyramid Club in downtown Philadelphia, according to a philly.com report. The renovations at the private business club include a new reception area, bar, connection-ready meeting space, a modernized lounge and dining areas. The private business club is located on the 52nd floor of the BNY Mellon office tower on Market Street.

Crunch Fitness, New York City, announced plans to open a new location in Tampa Bay, Florida, later this fall. The 21,000-square-foot club will be located near MacDill Air Force Base and will have more than 80 pieces of cardio and strength training equipment, tanning and HydroMassage, full-service locker rooms and a functional training area, according to a media release.

Youfit Health Clubs, Deerfield Beach, Florida, has reportedly exited the Louisville, Kentucky, market. The Youfit Health Club on Breckenridge Lane closed May 14 and another Youfit location on Hurstbourne Parkway reportedly closed recently, according to a Louisville Courier-Journal report. Youfit has two clubs currently in Kentucky (Lexington), according to the company's website.

Trillium Fitness, East Syracuse, New York, is moving out of a shopping center after 16 years of operation to a new 18,0000-square-foot location two miles away. Barb St. Pierre, co-founder, president and trainer, Trillium, said the club outgrew its current configuration and needs more room, according to Syracuse.com report.

The Jehovah's Witnesses have put a four-story recreational facility adjacent to New York City's Manhattan Bridge on the market, according to a dnainfo.com report. The 17,490-square-foot site is located at 69 Adams Street in Brooklyn. More details are available in the property listing on the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York website.

Kwame Building Group Inc., St. Louis, has completed a $1.1 million expansion of Maryville University's John E. and Adaline Simon Athletic Center in St. Louis. The facility consists of 3,100 square feet of workout space and 4,260 square feet of athletic staff offices, which were relocated and renovated, according to a rebusinessonline.com report.

The Edge Fitness Clubs, Fairfield, Connecticut, has plans to open a new location on Boston Post Road in Orange, Connecticut, in "late spring," according to the company's website. The company has other locations in Danbury, Derby, Fairfield, Greenwich, Hamden, Manchester, Meriden, Milford, Norwalk, Shelton, Stratford and Trumbull.

The Club at Harper's Point, Cincinnati, Ohio, is opening its new swim club and outdoor expansion on May 28. Harper's Point owner Towne Properties, Mount Adams, Ohio, is putting the finishing touches on the $3.2 million project, which will include eight outdoor clay tennis courts and a 25-meter lap pool, according to a Cincinnati Business Courier report.

A groundbreaking ceremony for a new, $7.5 million yet-to-be-named recreation center in Aalachua, Florida, was held May 10 and construction is expected to begin soon, according to a report from The Gainsville Sun. Construction is expected to take a year, and the facility will be used to host athletic and cultural events.
