RALEIGH, NC -- Last month, O2 Fitness purchased its second Peak Fitness club, this one in Fuquay Varina, NC. The company now has seven clubs, all in North Carolina.
“We have massive renovation and expansion plans for that club, including over a half a million dollars in finishes and fixtures and equipment to bring it up to the level of our other O2 clubs in the area,” says Kevin Hedley, COO of O2 Fitness, Raleigh, NC.
The company is looking at other opportunities in the area as the result of securing more funding, which it plans to use to acquire facilities and real estate, Hedley says, adding that the company would like to become the dominant player in the area.
O2 Fitness purchased its first Peak Fitness club in October after Peak Fitness filed for bankruptcy last summer.
