Crunch Fitness, New York, acquired the last remaining Club One club in operation. Terms were not disclosed.
A source told Club Industry last month that Club One sold the Yerba Buena location in downtown San Francisco to Crunch, which confirmed to Club Industry that it took over that club on April 1.
Active Sports Clubs, led by Jill Kinney and Bill McBride, acquired a majority of the assets of Club One, San Francisco, in March. The lone club not involved in the acquisition was the Yerba Buena club at the corner of Third and Folsom streets in San Francisco.
Club One no longer is involved in the operation of health clubs. The Club One website is now operated by Active Sports Clubs, which notified members of the Crunch acquisition on its Facebook page.
Active Sports Clubs, Sausalito, CA, operates 65 sites, including commercial clubs, Jewish Community Centers, a hospital fitness center and corporate sites.
