Bally Introduces First BFit Club

Bally Total Fitness, Chicago, has entered the high-volume/low-price arena with its new BFit model.

Bally held a grand opening for the first and only BFit club in the country on Saturday in Oak Lawn, IL. On hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Oak Lawn Mayor Dave Heilmann and Chicago Bears wide receiver Johnny Knox, who signed autographs for fans, according to the SouthtownStar of Tinley Park, IL.

Bally lost its lease at its former site in Oak Lawn before moving into a former car dealership to house its first BFit club, the newspaper reported.

The 18,000-square-foot club includes the latest cardio and strength equipment as well as The 30-Minute Workout, a full-body exercise routine. Other amenities include a tanning booth, personal training sessions, wood lockers and other designer finishes in the locker rooms.

Membership rates start at $5 bi-weekly and a $59 enrollment fee due at joining. The Elite BFit membership rate, which is $10 bi-weekly, includes boot camp and kettlebell workouts in a small group personal training setting.
