24 Hour Opens Annapolis Club

SAN RAMON, CA -- 24 Hour Fitness has opened its first club in the state of Maryland.

The San Ramon, CA-based company held a grand opening Wednesday night at the Annapolis (MD) Super Sport club. The opening had special meaning for 24 Hour CEO Carl Liebert, who graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis.

“For 24 Hour Fitness, this opening continues our expansion efforts on the East Coast to help make fitness more accessible and affordable for people of all fitness levels,” Liebert said in a statement.

The 43,000-foot-club has about 70 employees. In addition to a full-sized basketball court, the club’s amenities include an indoor pool, a steam room, a sauna, an indoor whirlpool, a functional circuit training area, a pro shop and a Kids’ Club.
