As you are likely aware, Club Industry is giving our Lifetime Achievement Award this year to Augie Nieto, co-founder of Life Fitness and chairman of Octane Fitness as well as chief inspirational officer for Augie's Quest. Nieto's mission in life is to find a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which he was diagnosed with 10 years ago.

Nieto founded Augie's Quest to raise money for research to find a cure for ALS through the ALS Therapy Development Institute, of which he also is chairman of the board. Nieto has teamed with the fitness industry to raise millions of dollars for research. In fact, since 2007, Augie's Quest has raised more than $44 million for ALS research, much of that due to the fitness industry. Club Industry decided that we wanted to help Nieto raise a bit more money--and you can help us.
