New Leadership Perspectives for You at the Club Industry Executive Summit

At Club Industry, we pride ourselves on bringing you some of the best education you can get in the industry at our online events as well as our in-person events. We have vetted a lot of new speakers for our show over the years, many of whom go on to also speak at other industry events thereafter.

We also pride ourselves in getting some of the top names in the industry to speak at our events, some of whom don’t often speak at events.

For this year’s Club Industry Executive Summit, Oct. 17-19 in Chicago, we have a good mix of both from the speakers we’ve announced so far.

We’re happy to share that Niki Leondakis, CEO of CorePower Yoga, and Steven Schwartz, CEO of Midtown Athletic Clubs, will share their insights on the topic of how to reimagine the fitness experience, delving into whether it is time to revise our fitness models, pricing, staffing and offerings to meet the needs of today’s consumers and enhance the bottom line.

Adam Zeitsiff, president of Stronger U Nutrition and an advisory council member of the National Health & Fitness Alliance (NHFA), will moderate a panel on the importance of industry alignment to better communicate the message to policymakers that the fitness industry is essential. That panel will include Paula Neubert, president and general manager of Club Greenwood, who was a founding board member of the Colorado Fitness Coalition, is part of Project 435 and has been named the Colorado representative for the NHFA.

U.S. Fitness Holdings President and COO Ori Gorfine also will be on the panel. He is on the advisory council of the NHFA.

Also on that panel is Micah Logan, founder and CEO of MELD Fitness + Wellness, who spoke at a past virtual event for Club Industry and now is joining us in-person to share his alignment efforts in Massachusetts.

Another former virtual presenter joining us in-person is Jessica Yarmey, founder of Kickhouse, who will be sharing insights on the Web 3 world and how that is impacting and will impact the fitness industry.

Tara Levitt, senior director of operations at Club Sports Group, has a long history in the technology side of the business, having worked for many years for Motionsoft, and she will share her expertise on the panel “How Technology Will Continue to Impact the Industry” along with panelist Bryan O’Rourke, principal and CEO of Vedere Ventures and president of the Fitness Industry Technology Council.

Michaela Brown, general manager of VIDA Fitness and Aura Spa, will bring her human resources and diversity focus to the panel “Staffing: Maximize Your Greatest Resources, Attract Future Leaders.” It’s one of the most important topics we’ll be covering at the event since the dynamics have shifted between employers and employees in the past two years. The panel will look at what can be done to attract the right people, why employees leave and why they stay. They’ll also look at ensuring you are appropriately staffed even with realignment of roles.

Brand new to speaking at Club Industry is Don Murphy, CEO and managing partner of Gold’s Gym Newburgh and Middletown, New York. Murphy will be part of the panel “Operational Strategies and Best Practices That Will Boost Your Bottom Line,” which will offer insights into best practices to negotiate leases, deal with rent deferments, cut costs, create new revenue sources and more.

The Club Industry Executive Summit is open to owners and executive level leaders at commercial clubs, studios, YMCAs, JCCs, university rec centers, parks and rec facilities, and medical wellness centers.
