We hope you can attend our Club Industry Show next week in Chicago. We know it's a busy time of year with lots of conferences and meetings in the industry.
Bryan O'Rourke will not be at our show, but it's not for a lack of other events on his calendar. O'Rourke, the president of the Fitness Industry Technology Council (FIT-C), is in the midst of traveling more than 40,000 miles this month. That's by my count and does not include routes through connecting cities on his itinerary. Still, that's a lot of miles.
Last week, O'Rourke attended The European Summit in Barcelona, where he gave a presentation on technology's impact on the fitness sector. He made a quick trip to New York on Monday on business, was back home Tuesday in New Orleans for a FIT-C webinar on technology standards and will fly out Wednesday for the IHRSA European Congress in Amsterdam, where he will meet with leaders and CEOs from across Europe.
Next week, O'Rourke will be attending the Fitness Australia event in Melbourne.
"I will work with leaders in the Australia fitness industry helping to facilitate their leadership on the future and keynoting on innovation in the industry," O'Rourke says. "The industry is at a crossroads of change. I have an opportunity to make a difference, I hope."
