World Gym Looks Back at 2015, Inks Deals on More Than 40 Gyms for 2016

World Gym International, Los Angeles, has signed deals to open more than 40 gyms in 2016, some as new gyms and others as conversions from existing gyms.

World Gym International, Los Angeles, has signed deals to open more than 40 gyms in 2016, the company announced. This growth is composed of a mix of new gyms and conversions from existing gyms.

"The World Gym family has many reasons to be thankful as 2015 was one of the best years in the brand's 40-year history," Joyce J. Cammilleri, chair of World Gym International, said in a media release from the company. The company has new agreements for gyms in seven countries and on four continents.

The company credits its expansion to its marketing, branding and sales support from its corporate team and the peer network of more than 200 gym owners from around the globe.

Many of the gyms noted above opened in 2015. The rest are under construction with opening dates targeted in the first two quarters of 2016, according to the company. In addition to the list above, World Gym entered into an agreement with John Caraccio and Michael Sanciprian of World Gym Taiwan, to expand into Mainland China, including China, Hong Kong, Macau. Caraccio and Sanciprian also will continue their growth in Taiwan.

In 2015, World Gym launched its first global advertising campaign for franchisees, a new website and a global social media search for its 2016 fitness ambassadors, who will debut a new series of fitness videos for members in early 2016.
