Town Sports International (TSI), New York, announced the opening of three new Boston Sports Clubs.
The new clubs are in the Boston suburbs of Canton, Dorchester and Wayland, MA, bringing the total of TSI clubs in the Boston area to 32. The three clubs will each have TSI's UXF Training Zone, a functional fitness training area that includes green turf floors, TRX suspension bands, kettlebells and battle ropes.
"We are excited to expand our collection of facilities in Massachusetts and offer the area a wide variety of fitness experiences and top-of-the-line amenities," TSI CEO Bob Giardina said in a statement. "We have had a strong presence in the city of Boston and surrounding areas for many years, and we are thrilled to provide more people with our state-of-the-art health and fitness facilities."
As of June 30, TSI operated a total of 163 fitness clubs, including 109 New York Sports Clubs, 16 Washington Sports Clubs (two of which are partly owned), six Philadelphia Sports Clubs and three clubs in Switzerland.
TSI also announced that its third quarter 2014 earnings call, which was postponed last month, will take place next Tuesday morning.
