Sports Nutrition Supplements Reach New Heights in Consumer Sales

According to the Nutrition Business Journal (NBJ), U.S. consumer sales of sports nutrition supplements grew 12 percent in 2012 to $4 billion. It was the highest rate of growth for the segment since 2000.

Whether they are grabbing a ready-to-drink beverage, mixing a protein powder into their glass or taking a pill, consumers are buying more and more sports nutrition supplements. And the trend is not likely to stop anytime soon.
