According to the story, the incident occurred after a fight between the suspect, Phillip Bernal, and another man playing basketball on the court. Bernal allegedly pulled the gun out of his bag and pointed it at the man. Several individuals witnessed the fight, and it was captured on surveillance video, according to the article.

After the fight, Bernal changed into his clothes and left the gym, but a gym worker was able to give police his name and address from the gym's records. Police later arrested Bernal on charges of deadly conduct and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

Club Industry contacted the gym for comment, but the general manager wasn't available as of Tuesday afternoon.
