Masloski Returns to Wellbridge as Chief Operating Officer

Masloski will be in charge of all areas of the company's owned and managed club operations, including sales and profit centers.

JoAnna Masloski will take over the role of chief operating officer at Wellbridge, Denver, beginning Aug. 3 when she returns to the company.

Masloski served as the vice president of marketing at Wellbridge from 2010-2012 according to her LinkedIn profile and has more than 15 years of experience in sales, marketing, operations and management.

"I was with Wellbridge for 12 years, and it was an extremely difficult decision to leave,” Masloski said in a statement. “To be able to come back in a new role, with a company I missed, in an industry I love, is really exciting.”

She will take over for Michael Meehan, who joined Wellbridge in 2012 as COO and recently left the company.

Masloski most recently served as the vice president of operations at Massage Retreat and Spa, New Hope, Minnesota, in a position she started in September 2012. She was a minority owner and executive operating corporate and franchise operations for its seven stores.

Masloski's Wellbridge career includes positions as regional events and promotions coordinator (2001-2003), marketing manager (2003-2006), director of marketing (2007-2010) and vice president of marketing (2010-2012).

Masloski will work directly with Wellbridge CEO Ed Williams and be in charge of all areas of the company's owned and managed club operations, including sales and profit centers.

"We're thrilled to have her back,” Williams said in a statement. "She's a natural leader who brings unbelievable energy to everything she does. Having her in operations will make a positive impact on our clubs and our members.”

Wellbridge owns and operates 21 athletic clubs in New Mexico, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Colorado, Missouri and Florida. Wellbridge expanded its presence in Baltimore when it purchased the Harbor East Club from Maryland Athletic Club on July 3.

Wellbridge ranked No. 18 on Club Industry's 2014 Top 100 Clubs list at $79 million in revenue.
