In Fort Wayne, IN, three Anytime Fitness clubs closed before the holidays. Anytime Fitness spokesperson Mark Daly told two Fort Wayne media outlets the closures were "rare and isolated" for the Hastings, MN-based company. The three franchises were owned and operated by the same Anytime franchisee who chose to close the clubs and leave the Anytime Fitness system, Daly added. Anytime has other clubs in the Fort Wayne area and northeast Indiana.

A UFC Gym in Bethesda, MD, closed on Sunday, BethesdaNow.com reported. The gym was acquired from LA Boxing at the end of 2012. In an email to members, UFC Gym said the closure was due to "current local economic conditions, rising expenses and increased competition," the website reported.
