Health Club Revenue, Memberships Increase in 2013

Health club revenue was $22.4 billion in 2013, a 3 percent increase from $21.8 billion in 2012, according to IHRSA. Health club memberships totaled 52.9 million in 2013, a 5 percent increase from the 50.2 million memberships IHRSA reported in 2012.

Overall memberships and revenue generated by health clubs in the United States increased in 2013, according to figures released Monday by the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA).
