The owner of a Sarasota, Florida, fitness and boxing club is facing felony charges for allegedly molesting two girls who trained at the facility.

Sarasota Fitness and Fight Club Owner Akram "Alan" Sleit, 53, was arrested Aug. 20 by Sarasota Police and charged with two separate counts of felony lewd molestation of a victim 12 or older but under 16. The victims, a 12-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl, both attended the club for boxing instruction, according to police.

Both victims told detectives that Sleit touched them inappropriately at the club on multiple occasions. One victim said Sleit touched her inappropriately at least 10 times while taking measurements at the club.

Both victims told police that there could be other victims at the club, according to detectives.

Sleit came under investigation after the mother of the 15-year-old girl went to police, according to a Herald-Tribune report.

Sleit remains in custody at Sarasota County Jail, according to records. An arraignment date in the case is set for Sept. 25.
