A YMCA branch is closing in Palo Alto, CA, after 35 years, leaving several members disappointed.

The Page Mill YMCA will close on Oct. 1, the YMCA of Silicon Valley announced last month. The Page Mill Y is one of 10 branches under the YMCA of Silicon Valley. Four of those locations are within an eight-mile radius of the Page Mill Y. The Y will provide Page Mill members with three months free access to all 29 Ys in the Bay Area after the closing. Staff members will be offered jobs
