A plan for DeKalb County (GA), which serves the eastern half of the Atlanta metro area, to buy a local YMCA for nearly $5 million in taxpayer money has been delayed.
DeKalb County commissioners voted on the plan June 10. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported the vote was deadlocked at 3-3 while NPR radio station WABE reported the vote was 3-2 in favor of the proposal with one abstention. Four votes are needed for approval.
