Take a walk on the supply side

  • Ground Zero Design has changed its name to Free Motion Fitness. The company felt that the name Ground Zero was no longer appropriate following the devastating attacks of Sept. 11.

  • Dodge-Regupol Inc. (DRI), a Lancaster, Pa.-based manufacturer of recycled rubber products, has acquired selected assets of Kraiburg Flooring, a distributor of rubber flooring for fitness, sports and other industries. Matt Koch, owner and president of Kraiburg, has joined DRI as Western regional sales manager.

  • Life Fitness recently celebrated the production of the 500,000th Lifecycle exercise bike. In a press release, Life Fitness president Kevin Grodzki stated that the company was “thrilled to reach this milestone.” The bike was manufactured in the company's plant at its suburban Chicago headquarters.
