MEMPHIS, TN -- The new 24-hour DAC Fitness center in Millington, TN, is not for sale, but the building it is housed in is up for auction, according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
DAC Fitness owner Keith Patterson recently asked the building’s owner, John Wilkins, to remove the auction sign from the building, the newspaper reported. The sign confused potential members and current members, some of whom recently signed contracts of one to three years.
The 14,964-square-foot building that housed DAC Fitness will be auctioned June 12 in Covington, TN, according to the newspaper. Whoever buys the property will inherit a five-year lease with DAC Fitness, with an option of five more years, Patterson told the newspaper.
Patterson also says the name of DAC Fitness will change to ATC Fitness, with the ATC standing for “around the clock.” Patterson had a license to use the name DAC, but that agreement was recently dissolved by Patterson and brothers David and Robert Creech, who own the license for the DAC name, the newspaper reported.
