Paradigm Sports Club is planning a luxury multi-sport exercise facility on a four-acre site adjacent to an upscale shopping center in the West Roseville area of California. Plans for the 40,000-square-foot club include a fitness facility, day spa, private Pilates studio and a state-certified preschool.

Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, TX, has earned the AAA Four Diamond rating for the ninth year in a row. The spa recently doubled in size, and has an entirely new décor, a new design of the Kid's Club and new landscaping. The resort is one of nearly 200 worldwide owned and operated by Dallas-based ClubCorp.

Iron Grip expanded its international representation with the addition of five new dealers outside of the United States: Force Fitness in the United Kingdom; PrimaFit covering Indonesia and East Timor; Power Sports handling Malta, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia; Future Wave in Israel; and Gymco Sports of Taiwan.

The Nautilus Group announced that it has appointed a number of Interpublic Group companies, led by Foote Cone & Belding, to manage a consolidated worldwide advertising and marketing program beginning the fourth quarter of 2004.

WOW! Work Out World has added a 25th licensed club by expanding into Canada. Rob Rooksby, of Alberta, Calgary, Canada, has converted his club (formerly The Gym) into a WOW! Work Out World. WOW! has five other international licensed locations, this being the first licensee in Canada.

The International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) has created an “age-friendly facility designation.” This program recognizes organizations that have made commitments to creating age-friendly facilities.
