Largest Marine Corps Fitness Center Opens at Camp Lejeune

Despite the government shutdown, the largest fitness facility in the Marine Corps opened earlier this month at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC.

Despite the government shutdown, the largest fitness facility in the U.S. Marine Corps opened on Oct. 11 at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC.

The 104,000-square-foot Wallace Creek Fitness Center features a 50-foot climbing wall, an indoor pool, an artificial turf training area, a variety of strength and cardio equipment, and a clinic in which Navy corpsman will practice sports medicine and rehab therapy, according to the center's website.
