Weights, Calisthenics Among Top 10 Health Club Offerings for Men in 2018

Club operators considering facility design and equipment purchases will want to review the top 10 gender-specific club offerings, according to IHRSA's latest Health Club Consumer Report.

The IHRSA 2017 Health Club Consumer Report surveyed 24,134 American adults on a wide array of fitness topics in 2017, including gender-specific attractions at health clubs. Males tend to be equipment-oriented, drawn to weights and machines, according to the report, while females gravitate to group exercise programs and other choreographed exercises.
