Personal Trainer Licensing Remains a Topic of Discussion in the Industry

As legislation that proposes statewide standards and licensure for fitness professionals continues to gain momentum, many fitness professionals want to understand how licensure would change the industry, for better or worse.

The topic of licensing personal trainers has long been discussed and debated in the health club industry. Several states have proposed legislation to license or register personal trainers, but only one known bill has succeeded in passing.
