Certifying Organizations Acknowledge Importance of Education and Certification for Personal Trainers

A growing number of colleges and universities are offering students the chance to earn training certifications as education becomes more important in the fitness industry. 

For many club operators, hiring a personal trainer can come down to deciding which is more important, a certification or an education.

But with an increased number of trainers needed in the coming years to work with clients who will need specialized training—such as baby boomers and the obese—certifying organizations are acknowledging the importance of combining certification with education and working with universities to offer certification courses to students.
