Beachbody, the Santa Monica, Calif.-based developers of popular fitness brands INSANITY® and P90X®, announced today the hiring of Marc Washington into the newly-created position of President and Chief Operating Officer responsible for the company’s operational infrastructure to enable immediate and long-term growth strategies. He will report to Beachbody CEO and co-founder Carl Daikeler.
“Marc has the perfect skill set to provide additional operating leadership for our accelerated growth,” said Daikeler. “This newly created position gives Beachbody a ‘one-two’ punch whereby we will have laser focus on both operations and marketing.”
Washington will work alongside current President, co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer, Jon Congdon. Congdon will focus on customer acquisition and retention, including all consumer-facing websites, media and brand marketing as well as the rapidly growing Beachbody Certification business.
Washington will be responsible for developing and implementing operating strategies and processes to drive company efficiency and future scalability. He joins Beachbody after spending nine years at Roll Global, most recently as Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure at Roll Global he led and managed numerous functions including global sourcing and supply chain management; financial planning and analysis; accounting; customer service, treasury; mergers and acquisitions; risk management; sales; and human resources. Roll Global is a $3+billion privately held consumer products company with such brands as FIJI Water, POM Wonderful and Telefora. Prior to Roll Washington worked for global consulting firm McKinsey & Co. where he led numerous operations and strategy projects.

Washington has more than 16 years of business experience primarily in the consumer product industry. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and graduated magna cum laude in Operations Research from Princeton University.
